Mandate The Committee on Production and Trade handles WTO-related issues, in the absence of a body specifically entrusted with that responsibility. Specifically, the Committee deals with matters concerning agriculture, animal husbandry, water and forestry, hunting, fishing, energy and domestic consumption. It is responsible for discussing and finalizing texts on matters within its purview.
Membership The Committee is composed of 20 members.
Working methods Trade negotiations fall under the government's authority. At the very most, the Committee on Production and Trade may hold hearings to obtain testimony from negotiators, as appropriate.
